     The book Maya's grandmother owns a store. Maya calls the place Store with a capital S. The Store is has groceries and you can pay bill there.  The Store is used by a lot of people. Maya likes the Store because she loves food and people. She enjoys hearing the stories people tell and she likes observing what goes on. Also the Store is like a safe haven for her. The Store is like her home. She likes to help out, even though she has no choice but too. She really does love the Store.

How does Uncle Willie's disabilities show that Handicapped people have been treated badly for a centuries?

    In the book Uncle Willie is called "lame" because he is handicapped. He is handicapped because when he was a baby, his babysitter dropped him. He is not ashamed to say he is crippled and he is already use to the name calling. The only time Maya saw her uncle pretend he was not crippled is, when two strangers walked into the Store. Uncle Willie said he didn't know them.

    Currently the book is in the 1930's. This show that crippled people of been made fun of and harassed for a very long time now. For example, Uncle Willie was not born that way but people still treat him badly. What they don't understand is they can become handicapped any day and anytime. People still, in 2015 don't understand that they can become handicapped too. I hope, one day this will change.

Introduction

    Throughout the 21st and 22nd century the book I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings was and still is highly exalted. This book shows the strength Maya Angelou  has and the wisdom she gained from experiences. That is what made me read her book. I want learn from Maya Angelou and I know I will learn something from her. I'm very excited to read this flawlessly written book.

    When Maya Angelou was a little girl she was insecure. She felt as if she was white she would have a better life, look better and  people would have treated her better. Instead she was stuck with nappy hair, broad feet and a big space between her teeth. She didn't believe she was beautiful. She want to believe that her evil fairy step mother cursed her and made her ugly. Surprisingly, at a very young age she felt this way.

    Some of the representations that support Animal Farm is Old Mayor being Lenin. Both Lenin and Old Mayor had a idea that wrongfully turned bad. Another representation is Napoleon being Stalin. Stalin and Napoleon killed innocent creatures, and punished people. Stalin turned Lenin's bad and Napoleon turned Old Mayor's plan bad. Both Stalin and Napoleon manipulated the minds of creatures by using Communism and Animalism. But at the end of the day they both went against the rules they set in the first place. This book can rightfully be compared to the Russian Revolution.

     It all started with a discussion between my partner and I. He told me how Animal Farm describes  the Russian Revolution through animals. This caused me to actually read. This book is creatively written by George Orwell. He did the most amazing job using animal as people and things. It puts a fun twist on a serious situation and it helps you understand the Russian Revolution. This one book everyone has to read.

What is Moses the Raven symbolic for and what does that have to do with the Russian Revolution?

    Moses the Raven went around and told everyone about Sugarcane Mountain. Sugarcane Mountain is just like heaven for humans but instead it is for animals. Moses the Raven is symbolic for religion. During the Russian Revolution religion was in the middle of a bunch of mess because Stalin didn't really agree with the churches. When Moses leaves right after Old Major dies, it represents when Stalin got into power and how religion left the country. It took a little while for Moses to come back. When he came back everyone was happy because they wanted to hear more about Sugarcane Mountain. They pay Moses in alcohol to make him stay. Napoleon learns to tolerate Moses. This shows how Russians couldn't live without religion and how they would do anything to keep it. Stalin just had to learn how to accept that.

    Is Peter really in love with Anne?

    As Peter and Anne become closer, everyone is starting to ask is Peter in love with Anne. Peter shows all the signs of being in love. Like, by continuously giving Anne Frank compliments. For example told Anne Frank " I don't agree. I think you're pretty."  He says that multiple times in the book. Which is really nice because Anne really needs to hear it. Another sign is that, Peter and Anne spend a lot of time together. They spend almost every night with each other and really enjoy each other's company. When they are with each other they can talk about any and everything.  he last and most major sign of them all is when Peter kissed Anne. Anne says,"he gave me a kiss, through my hair, half on my cheek and half on my ear". Even though Peter might not say it, he really is in love with Anne. It is the most beautiful thing in the world seeing their relationship blossom.

    Anne Frank often states how her mother likes her sister more than she likes her. Anne generally says she feels as if her sister, Margot is prettier, smarter and friendlier than she is. Anne thinks that is the reason her mother likes Margot more. It might be because Margot is older and her mother can talk about more things with her.  Also Anne doesn't like her mother because she always takes Margot's side and is much tougher on Anne. Her mother is tougher on Anne because she is the youngest and needs to learn what and what not to do. Margot on the other hand, know what and what not to do.

Comparing And Contrasting

     The Diary of Anne Frank can properly be compared to Night by Elie Wiesel. Both Night and The Diary of Anne are centered around Jewish teens. For example Elie Wiesel said " I met him in 1941. I was almost thirteen an deeply observant... I would run to the synagogue". This shows that Elie was a teen and Jewish. And the introduction Of The Diary of Anne Frank said "Anne Frank, who was thirteen when she began her diary...Because we're Jewish, my father immigrated to Holland". This also proves that both Elie and Anne were Jewish teens. They are different because Elie Wiesel was not killed in a concentration camp and Anne Frank was. At the beginning of Anne Frank it says "After the war, when it became clear that Anne was dead...The eight people hiding in The Secret Annex were arrested". This states that Anne Frank was found and she went to a concentration camp. At the end of night it says "On April 10, there were still some twenty thousand prisoners in the camp... IT was decided to evacuate all us at once". This quote explains that Elie was in a concentration camp until the end of the war.

How Anne Frank Changed

   In the book you can really see how Anne changed. At first she was very happy and never talked about her family badly, but now she describes how she, her mother, and her sister don't get along. Also she feels has if her sister, Margot was the favorite child and perfect. She feels has if she is basically the troubled child. Another reason you can tell she changed is she is sharing more in her diary. Which I think is a good thing because she really needs to vent. Anne Frank her self said " Now that I am rereading my diary after a year and a half, I'm surprised at my childish innocence". Now that Anne Frank has learned more she thinks the beginning of her diary shows her childish innocence.

    Anne Frank's purpose of writing this book is to share what was happening during the war. When World War II was close to a end there was an announcement, about if anyone has written anything during the war to please give it to someone in London. It saids that the  person "specifically mentioned letters and diaries". Also in the book it says, " Impressed by this speech, Anne Frank decided that when the war was over she would publish a book based on her diary. She began rewriting and editing her diary,". She also omitted and added new things. This is the reason why she has two versions of her diary, a unedited(A) and a edited(B). The book I am reading is edited(B).

    Anne Frank is very generous for wanting to publish her diary. Especially since,  most people don't like to share their diary because it has a lot of person things in it. Anne is also very smart because she edited her diary so it can be given away after the war.

How The Author Helps Visualize

    Anne Frank helps visualize by putting pictures of things into her diary. For example, on page 15 she has a picture of the floor plan of the "Secret Annex". Another way she helps visualize is by describing people personalities. In the beginning of the book she describes all her friends who went to her birthday 
party. For example, she says "Ru Stoopelmon is a short, goofy boy from Almelo who transferred to this school in the middle of the year." She is very good at describing people and is very detailed about their lives and personality.

Introduction

    The Diary of Anne Frank began with a Jewish teenage girl getting a beautiful diary for her birthday. She used this diary to write down how she felt, what she was doing, and what was going on. She writes during the World War II time period and shows you how a young girl felt during that time. This is an amazing book that everyone should read and learn from.

Audience Targeting

    Anne Frank is targeting everyone because she can relate to most people. With her writing as she goes through her teenage years she can relate to teens. Also Adults can relate because they had to go through their teen years. Another reason is is targeting most people is because everyone has to learn about the Nazis and World War 2. She gives you a Jewish, girl's point of view of whats going on.

If I Was In The Same Situation 

    If I was in Anne Frank's situation I would be terrified. I would to put everything in my pockets and bags before I left for "Secret Annex". Once I got to "The Hideout" I would clean up and try to make it more like home. I would make sure everyone joined in to help. Another I would do is ask for more books to entertain me and to keep my mind off the situation.
